The Miami Heat are feeling out the trade market. Multiple different Heat trade rumors have been going around linking the team to stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant. We take a look at one Kevin Durant-Heat trade that Miami has to consider.

Ricky O’Donnell of SB Nation made up a few Kevin Durant trade proposals from his biggest suitors. This was the proposed Kevin Durant-Heat trade:

Miami Heat trade: Andrew Wiggins, Duncan Robinson, Kel’el Ware, and two first-round picks

Phoenix Suns trade: Kevin Durant

So far, Heat trade rumors indicate that they are not interested in putting Kel’el Ware in any trades right now. But if they change their mind, this could be enough to land Durant.

Getting rid of Ware, two first-rounders, and Andrew Wiggins would be a big price to pay. That being said, the East looks wide open, and a core of Kevin Durant, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo could easily take the Eastern Conference crown.

The Heat’s decision to pull the trigger on a trade like this comes down to one big question: Can Kevin Durant lead them back to the NBA Finals?

Unfortunately, his recent track record shows that it might be a tall task. He has now been a part of two different three-star squads since leaving Golden State, and hasn’t made it out of the third round.

Despite averaging 26.6 points, six rebounds, and 4.2 assists on insane shooting splits, the 36-year-old needs a lot more help than Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo can give him. The Heat should hold out and see if they can get Durant for a cheaper price.
