Tyler Herro has not had the best season with the Miami Heat in terms of his on-court production. At the same time, he is struggling to stay on the court with the constant injury troubles over the past few months.
He did not start playing until late November, and he has been trying to get his rhythm ever since. The chemistry between Herro and Norman Powell has slowly been picking up steam, but it looks like that is on pause in the meantime.
Herro is not with the Heat during the road trip
The Heat have been promising over the past few games, especially with the dynamic between Herro and Powell. Head coach Erik Spoelstra loved that development alongside Bam Adebayo finally bouncing back as a star player.
They have left Miami to go on a five-game road trip, but Herro is not with them. This is not a good sign because he is out for injuries to both his toe and ribs. He is getting an MRI back in Miami, and they are anxiously waiting for the result.

Moving forward, the Heat can rely on Powell to serve as the star player at the perimeter. Herro already missed 30+ games this season, so the Heat have gotten used to not having him.
However, that is an unfortunate situation for the Heat because they would prefer to have Herro with the team. He is a focal point on offense for Spoelstra, and missing him could lead to losses again.
Once they pick up steam, the Heat could be one of the most dangerous teams in the league. However, they cannot get the momentum if Herro continues to struggle with all kinds of injuries.
