The Miami Heat recently went up against the Golden State Warriors in what would be a competitive matchup until the fourth quarter, where the Heat would get outscored 31-19, losing with the final score being 135-112. In the midst of the unfortunate blowout, one Heat player made an impressive milestone in the past week.
Bam wins Player of the Week for the third time
Bam Adebayo has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 13. He averaged 27 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists during the three-game span. He would help the Heat go 2-1, and it would be the third time in his career that he received the Player of the Week award.
With that being said, he was unable to keep up the momentum following one of his worst performances of the season against the Golden State Warriors. Bam only scored 4 points, going 1-13 from the field and 0-5 from the three-point line. He played just 26 minutes when the Warriors began to pull away in the fourth quarter. The only bright spot is his grabbing down 12 rebounds, but his shooting inefficiency has been a constant struggle all season.

It has been known that Bam is a borderline all-star, best known for his versatile defensive abilities. What limits him from crossing the Superstar threshold is his offensive woes. Although it’s a great gesture that the league gifted him the title of Eastern Conference Player of the Week, it’s a worrying sign that he produced a pitiful shooting performance at the beginning of Week 14.
He looks to bounce back and help improve the Heat’s 22-21 record when they go up against the Sacramento Kings tonight in the second leg of a back-to-back.
