It's been a while since LeBron James wasn't named an All-Star starter. Between 2005 and 2025, James was voted in as a starter in 21 consecutive All-Star Games, a stat that merely punctuates James' dominance over more than two decades in the NBA.

But that streak came to an end on Monday.

For the first time since his rookie season of 2003-04, James was not voted in as a starter for the All-Star Game, which will take place at the Los Angeles Clippers' Intuit Dome on Feb. 15.

In James' rookie season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the East's starting five at the All-Star Game included Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter. The frontcourt starters were Ben Wallace and Jermaine O'Neal.

The West starters for the game, held at STAPLES Center (now James' home venue of Crypto.com Arena), were Steve Francis, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Yao Ming. Not bad.

James can still be named to the United States squad as a reserve, but that designation is in the hands of the NBA's coaches.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is averaging 22.6 points per game this season, his lowest average since his rookie year.
