Recent LeBron Instagram story provides major injury update since MCL injury image

How old is LeBron James? LeBron will enter his 23rd NBA season at the ripe age of 40. Many are starting to wonder when LeBron will finally start to show major signs of aging, and the time may finally be upon us. After the Los Angeles Lakers lost in the playoffs, it was revealed that LeBron had an MCL sprain.

While we’ve seen LeBron announce injuries after he’s been eliminated from the playoffs before, this one felt different. He spoke on his “Mind the Game” podcast about his MCL injury

“My knee locked up, and that’s why I stayed on the ground for quite a minute to see, if the knee would kind of release a little bit, but I knew right then and there it was a pain that I hadn’t felt before.”

This is a worrisome quote for Lakers fans. LeBron’s injury history is pretty much spotless. For him to hurt himself in a way he never had before, at the age of 40, can’t be good.

That’s why Lakers fans rejoiced when LeBron’s Instagram story posted him back on the court

“Man it felt good to get back out there today for the first time since my MCL injury,” posted James.

This is about as good of a LeBron injury update as you can hope for. James will likely be fully healthy to start his 23rd season. With Luka Dončić looking like he’s in the best shape of his career, Lakers fans should get really excited about what this duo could do next season.
