Defense for the Los Angeles Lakers has become a problem as the season has progressed, and it's cost them four of their five games, including a loss Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons.

Heading into the season, it was known that the Lakers could have issues on defense, which could hold them back from accomplishing anything significant, especially with a roster that includes players who are not the best defensively.

Superstar Luka Doncic falls into the category of not being a talented defender, and his willingness to play defense has been questioned many times. It hasn't stopped after Hall of Famer and Indiana Pacers legend, Reggie Miller, called out the five-time All-Star for not trying to help on defense on Tuesday.

Pistons center, Jalen Duren, was driving to the rim. After getting past his teammate, Jake LaRavia, instead of sliding over to help, Doncic put his hands up, insisting a foul should have been called on Duren, but Miller was not a fan of this.

During the showing of the instant replay, Miller reacts by saying, "Look at Luka right here. It's OK, Luka, to move your feet a little bit over and help out. What does he do? He just throws up his hands. This would be frustrating for me," Miller expressed.

Luka's lack of defense was cited as one of the reasons former Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison traded the superstar for Anthony Davis at the NBA trade deadline last February.

Although the consequences for Doncic may not come in the form of being traded again, if his defense does not even slightly improve, then it will cost him legacy-defining accolades.
