The Los Angeles Lakers (14-4) just clinched their group in the NBA In-Season-Tournament and sit at the 2nd seed in the stacked Western Conference.

Things could not have gotten off to a better start this season for the Purple and Gold.

Luka Dončić is playing MVP-caliber basketball, Austin Reaves is making his All-Star candidacy undeniable, and LeBron James just returned to the lineup. On top of that, JJ Redick has looked like one of the best coaches in the league.

One of the best parts of the season so far for Lakers fans has been to see the budding chemistry on this team. It obviously starts from the top down with Redick, but when you mix in a goofy personality from your superstar, it gets fun.

During a Lakers practice, Luka Dončić took his chance to embarrass his head coach in front of the media.

During his time in the league, Dončić has become known for his practice and pregame antics. He’ll relish watching teammates and media alike marvel at his half-court and sometimes full-court shots.

The Lakers recently posted a battle during a shootaround in El Segundo. Luka made sure that the media was front and center to watch the clinic he was about to put on for his head coach.

Dončić blew his former sharpshooting head coach out of the water in a half-court shooting competition by a score of 3-0.

This team is having so much fun together during practice, and the result of that is showing in games. If you can make fun of the dredge of games throughout December and January, it will mentally help immensely once May and, hopefully, June roll around.
