The Los Angeles Lakers begin the offseason with a lot of questions after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
Luka Doncic's future, LeBron James' injury and the Lakers' desperate need for a center will be at the forefront of headlines all summer long.
Doncic has since returned to Slovenia, which is an offseason tradition for him.
On Wednesday, Doncic sure confused fans with a retirement post on his Instagram story.
Doncic posted a message from Luka Rupnik, a Slovenian star who announced his retirement from basketball after this next season. Rupnik played on the Slovenian National team with Doncic, and Rupnik last played for the Poitiers in France - Pro B.
However, fans were extremely concerned after Rupnik's post, especially since they thought it was Doncic's retirement announcement.
"Luka Doncic shared this and I thought it was him. I was like damn Lebron drove him to retirement in just a few months," one fan wrote.
"Different Luka. Everyone calm down," another replied.
"Luka Doncic reposted this and I thought it was about him," another said. "Lmao why would Luka repost this almost have me a heart attack," wrote another.
"I thought it was Luka Don at first I was like damn bro already?" another stated.
"@lukadoncic never scare me like this again," another fan said.
Thankfully, it wasn't Luka Doncic retiring, especially since the Lakers star is still in his prime and remains one of the best players in the NBA. Still, this post certainly scared fans for a bit.
