LeBron James and Luka Doncic are getting along quite well as one of the most potent star duos in the NBA.
And having witnessed some marvelous shot-making from his co-star, James had words of praise to share after the Los Angeles Lakers' win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
LeBron James' praise of Luka Doncic in Lakers win
James and Doncic continue to command the Lakers as the squad achieved their third consecutive win after taking down the Pelicans 111-103.
The star duo combined for 60 points, emphasizing their influence over the offense. James finished with 30 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and a block. Meanwhile, Doncic followed with 30 points, 10 assists, two rebounds, two steals, and a block.
What stood out from the game was Doncic's clutch plays in the fourth quarter. As New Orleans tried to make a late rally, Doncic responded with two off-balance shots from beyond the arc. The latter went viral as he knocked down the attempt from such a long distance, earning Kobe Bryant comparisons for his boldness in attempting the shot.

James reflected on Doncic's performance after the game. The veteran superstar described the display as a typical one but didn't hesitate to describe it as a magical one due to the clutch shots his co-star made.
“He does it all the time, so it’s not one shot on the floor that we don’t think he can make no matter 24 on the shot clock or at the end of the buzzer. We know he’s Luka Magic for a reason,” James said on the broadcast.
Los Angeles improved to a 23-11 record on the season with the win, sitting at third place in the Western Conference standings. They are above the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets while trailing the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Lakers get set for their road matchup against the Spurs on Jan. 7 at 9:30 p.m. ET. After that, they will return home for their next contest when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 9 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
