There are so, so many remarkable things about LeBron James when you start digging into the numbers of one of the NBA's all-time greats.
Of course, he's the league's all-time leading scorer, having reached a record 23rd season now spread across the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers.
But there's one stat that circulated this week that's pretty much impossible to believe.
Almost all of LeBron's career scoring averages round to 27 points per game.

Maybe James should've been wearing 27 on his jersey all these years instead of 23.
His career is full of statistical craziness. For example, for a long time, James' career averages worked out to 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists per game, and yet he has never had a game with exactly 27-7-7.
It's gotta be fun to be a stats guy and dig into the things LeBron has done. There's just so much data there. He's been around forever, doing a lot of things no one has ever done before.
This wild 27s stat really just emphasizes the omnipresence of James. In the last nearly quarter-century of the NBA, the King has always been there, doing his thing.
We are all witnesses.
