LeBron, Bronny predicted to head home to Cleveland, Dončić becomes new face of Lakers image

For the first time in his 23-year career, LeBron James is not the number one priority on his team.

It started with the acquisition of Luka Dončić midway through last season and has trickled into the Los Angeles Lakers not offering him a contract extension this offseason.

Many reports have stated that Dončic is the priority now in Los Angeles, and James will have to take the back seat from here on out.

Now, many around the league, including Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz, believe a reunion could be in order for James and the Cleveland Cavaliers -- with Bronny tagging along.

“The Cavaliers are the only NBA team above the second apron luxury-tax line, meaning they cannot combine multiple player salaries to trade for one player, in this case, James,” Swartz said Monday. "The same reason the Cavs face this restriction is precisely why they should pursue a trade for the greatest player in franchise history for yet another reunion. They should trade for James, although the rationale has as much (or more) to do with off the court as it does on.”

Swartz lists five total reasons as to why the Cavaliers should engage with James and try to reunite the all-time leading scorer in his home state.

Most importantly, the cap situation dealing with James and the Cavaliers' salaries.

The trade would consist of Darius Garland, DeAndre Hunter, and Max Strus for LeBron and Bronny James, a structure that merely works.

The father-son duo could return to Cleveland, where it all began for LeBron, dealing with the Lakers to give Dončić the support he needs to try to capture his first championship.
