The Los Angeles Lakers are rolling in late-November, boasting a 12-4 record and keeping pace with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference.

Still, the Lakers are a franchise always looking to make roster moves to bolster its championship hopes.

On Monday, Los Angeles elected to sign a college basketball legend and G-League superstar to help Luka Doncic.

“The Lakers are waiving Koloko and signing (Drew) Timme,” ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel reported on X/Twitter.

While Gonzaga never secured a national championship during Timme’s four-year collegiate career with the Bulldogs, he undoubtedly should be regarded as one of the best players to wear a Gonzaga uniform.

From executing athletically pleasing post moves to exciting fans with entertaining celebrations, Timme was the star of the show while competing with the Bulldogs in the WCC.

The Richardson, Texas native averaged 17.2 points and 6.7 rebounds for his career, shooting 61.6% from the field in 37 contests.

Timme spent the beginning of his professional career with the Wisconsin Herd, Stockton Kings, and Long Island/Brooklyn Nets before joining the Los Angeles G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, this season.

The 6-foot-9 big man is wreaking havoc in the NBA minor league thus far, averaging 25.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 51.6% from the field.

It’ll be interesting to see how Timme fares with the big dogs moving forward.
