He had that Men's Health cover that really drove home the point that the Los Angeles Lakers' superstar is focused on his fitness.
A long-awaited look at this version of Luka on the court arrived Friday.
Doncic and the Slovenian national team are playing a tune-up game for EuroBasket, taking on Germany.
And there's Luka looking noticeably slimmer than he did in his first tenure with the Lakers.

EuroBasket is an international hoops competition that pits European countries' national teams against one another to crown a champion of European basketball.
Doncic loves representing his country, so it's no surprise he's there playing.
Clearly, the Lakers would like him to stay healthy. But at the same time, they know how special this is to Doncic.
They're likely just glad he's looking in such great shape.
Doncic is a superstar no matter his body fat. But if this is the new version of him, it looks particularly dangerous.
It'll be interesting to see how far Doncic can take Slovenia in EuroBasket, given that other teams are deeper but none of the other teams have Luka.
He's looking equipped to make the most of his potential.
