Could the Los Angeles Lakers really trade LeBron James?
That's something the whole NBA is wondering right now.
ESPN's Tim Bontemps and Brian Windhorst combined on a new report that details the latest info.
And in essence, there's no deal being discussed right now.
"It's one of the biggest topics of conversation around the league," they write. "The concept of a trade is not impossible -- nothing is impossible in the NBA after the Doncic trade -- but it is unlikely due to James' large salary and his no-trade clause. There were a few inquiries from eyebrow-raised teams, sources said, just to gauge whether this was something or nothing. For now, there is no action. But it is surely being monitored."

Everyone has their own takes on this, of course.
Big-name teams get thrown around left and right. Could the Knicks get LeBron? Could the Warriors get LeBron? You get the idea.
The reality is that a deal wouldn't be easy to pull off and also might not actually be in the cards.
No one will be putting this idea away anytime soon, but for now, it sounds like James is staying put.
