Lakers’ LeBron James gives cryptic response to trade question image

It was the last question LeBron James was asked in his postgame interview on Thursday night after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Los Angeles Clippers.

"Is this where you want to finish the season?" The Athletic's Dan Woike asked LeBron.

With the NBA trade deadline approaching, Woike was essentially asking James if he had interest in being traded.

"I'm good," James replied. "I'm good. I'm good."

The implication wasn't clear as to whether LeBron was saying that he's good where he is, or if he's good without digging into that question.

He also, for his convenience, happened to be wearing a hoodie with the words, "Everyone's crazy," on it. So as he walked away from the interview, he decided to point that out, getting a laugh out of the assembled reporters by announcing, "Everyone's crazy!"

This won't necessarily add fuel to the fire of the idea of a James trade, but it doesn't necessarily take the thought off the board, either.

LeBron is playing out his player option with the Lakers and will be a free agent after the season.

At 41, there will obviously be questions about whether James chooses to retire when this season is done.

First, though, is the matter of trying to make one more playoff run. The Lakers, with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves alongside him, seem to be a solid place to try and make that happen.

But dating back to the summer, there has been speculation about a LeBron trade. And apparently that speculation will still be here through the trade deadline.
