Lakers injury report vs. Bucks: Are LeBron James, Rui Hachimura playing? image

The Los Angeles Lakers (23-12) are hosting the Milwaukee Bucks (16-21) on Jan. 9 as both teams look to get back to their winning ways after suffering losses on Wednesday.

Los Angeles is coming off a 107-91 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in a game where they were struggling to find success from anybody but Luka Doncic (38 points).

With Austin Reaves still being out with a calf strain, LeBron James also missed the contest while dealing with left foot joint arthritis and the same sciatica injury that has been lingering throughout the season.

Friday's injury report provided updates to multiple Lakers players dealing with setbacks.

LeBron James (foot, sciatica) listed as probable, Rui Hachimura (calf) out for Jan. 9 vs. Bucks

According to the NBA's injury report, LeBron James is listed as probable after sitting out of Wednesday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs with foot and sciatica injuries.

Rui Hachimura will miss his sixth straight game while dealing with the calf strain he suffered on Dec. 28 against the Sacramento Kings.

Austin Reaves (calf) and Adou Thiero (knee) are also listed as out for the contest.

This news shows that first-year Laker Jake LaRavia will draw his sixth straight start while filling in for the injured Hachimura.

In the five games LaRavia has started with Hachimura being out, he's been able to step up big for the Lakers, averaging 15.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.0 steals.

On the Bucks' side of things, their report is short. Taurean Price (neck) is listed as out.

Los Angeles currently sits as the No. 5 seed in the West, and Milwaukee is the last team out of the Play-In as the No. 11 seed in the East.
