The Los Angeles Lakers have been the subject of all sorts of trade rumors this offseason.
At least one appears like it will not come to pass.
The Athletic's Dan Woike reported that there will be no Andrew Wiggins trade to L.A.
“(The Lakers) are not interested in Andrew Wiggins,” Woike told Zach Lowe on his podcast. “I think I can put that to bed. I’m pretty confident on that front.”
Earlier reports this offseason suggested a package of something like Rui Hachimura, Dalton Knecht and a first-round pick, which seems a hefty cost for the former No. 1 overall pick Wiggins at this stage in his career.
Wiggins is currently with the Heat after being moved in the Jimmy Butler trade from Golden State.
“I didn’t understand those rumors,” Lowe replied to Woike. “They were suddenly giving up a lot of s– for Andrew Wiggins. Like, is Rui Hachimura just as good as Andrew Wiggins? Why am I adding a lot more to that?”

This won't be the last of the Lakers' offseason rumors, of course.
Is LeBron James going elsewhere? That'll dominate most of the headlines.
Just don't expect Wiggins in purple and gold anytime soon.
