The Los Angeles Lakers have continued to be patient in the development of Bronny James. Although the 21-year-old has appeared in 10 games for the Lakers this season, he's still developing into hopefully being a consistent role player.
He made his second career start for the Lakers in their Nov. 15 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, but just five days later, the team assigned him and first-year forward Adou Thiero to the South Bay Lakers, ESPN insider Dave McMenamin reported.
The moves were made before the Lakers' second straight game against the Utah Jazz, which will take place on Nov. 23.
How have Bronny James and Adou Thiero played so far this season?
Through Bronny James' 10 appearances for the Lakers this season, he's averaging 2.1 points and 1.8 assists while shooting 29.6 percent from the field. His best outing so far this season took place on Nov. 8 in Los Angeles' loss to the Atlanta Hawks, where he finished with nine points, two rebounds and two assists while hitting four of his six shot attempts.
Arkansas second-round pick Adou Thiero missed training camp and the start of the 2025-26 season while recovering from a hyperextended knee suffered late in his final college season, an injury that required surgery before he could begin his pro career.
Thiero made his NBA debut on Nov. 15 against the Milwaukee Bucks, checking in during the final minutes of a blowout win. Through his first two NBA appearances, he's averaging 3.0 points.
