Los Angeles Lakers star Austin Reaves chimed in with some jokes after the Lakers’ 119-95 blowout victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Aside from the emphatic win, the major story of this game came from Bronny James notching the start at point guard for the Lakers. James played just 10 minutes in the win, scoring zero points with one rebound and one assist.
Notably, James’ father, LeBron James, has been assigned to the Lakers’ G-league affiliate over the past week as he recovers from sciatica in his back, causing a funny scenario in which the all-time scoring leader in NBA history is playing in the G-league, while his son starts in the NBA.
Lakers guard Austin Reaves quipped a joke about his two teammates after the win over the Bucks.
“How about Bronny James starting in the NBA and LeBron's assigned to the G League. That’s awesome,” Reaves said.
Reaves and Luka Doncic’s hot starts to the season have helped catapult the Lakers to a 10-4 record through the first 14 games. Soon, they’ll have LeBron James back on the court, and will continue their quest to earn a championship this season.
