The Houston Rockets-Kevin Durant trade may be the biggest transaction during the 2025 NBA offseason. The Rockets now look to be title contenders and Durant will have another opportunity to win a Championship without Stephen Curry at his side. Recently, Durant went on LeBron James’ podcast, where he claimed his Thunder team in 2012 helped prepare the organization for their current championship team. His comments led to another Kevin Durant-Twitter fight.

This statement didn’t go over so well with some NBA fans. Particularly one Lakers fan had some choice words about Durant’s podcast interview.

“You walked out on okc. If anyone deserves credit, its Russ! He was the one to recruit PG and he was LOYAL enough to request a trade and let OKC get picks back.”

This ignited a back-and-forth between Durant and the fan. This has become a bit of a Kevin Durant Twitter classic.

@PlayboySwervo continued to say, “cant wait for you to fail with the rockets too. You shouldve just humbled yourself and joined curry at the deadline”

To which Durant responded, “Your mom hates that you haven’t succeeded at anything.”

This isn’t the first Kevin Durant Twitter fight that has gone down. Durant is famous for calling out fans on their hot takes on Twitter. He never holds back, often attacking fans before analytically refuting their poor takes.
