There were hints during the offseason that Patrick Beverly would come out of retirement to play in the NBA again.

Instead, he's heading to Greece.

Greek club PAOK BC announced that Beverly has signed to play there.

Beverly is 37 years old and has played in 12 NBA seasons.

He suited up for the Rockets, Clippers, Timberwolves, 76ers, Lakers, Bucks and Bulls.

Beverley last suited up for two different teams during the 2023-24 season: the 76ers and Bucks.

During that campaign, he averaged 20.0 minutes per night with 6.2 points averaged in that time.

He began his NBA career with five Rockets seasons, then five Clippers season. He got a year and a half in with the Lakers, then half a season with the Bulls before his split 2023-24.

Beverly is most known for his defense, having made three All-Defense teams in the NBA.

He had a contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel last season before he was let go in February after a team-imposed suspension.

Beverly was arrested in Texas in November on assault charges. He was released after posting a $40,000 bond.

After his college career at Arkansas, Beverly played overseas before coming to the NBA, so it won't be an unfamiliar place to find himself.
