The LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate is one of the most talked about debates in basketball history.
On one hand, LeBron James has been one of, if not the most dominant figure in the NBA over his 21-year career.
However, on the other side of the argument, Michael Jordan has won more championships and has never suffered a defeat in the NBA Finals.
While you could make an argument for either player, most NBA fans regard both Jordan and James as the top-two players in history.
Recently, 14-year NBA veteran and former teammate of LeBron James, Jose Calderon spoke about his thoughts on the debate. "LeBron James is the best player I've played with and I think he's probably one of the most complete players out there because of the things he does, how long he's been at the top level and maybe he's not the best shooter or the best playmaker, but overall I think he's the player there is," said Calderon.
Calderon doubled down when asked if James was the best all-time. "Current and all-time. Yes, I think he is (the GOAT). You might like other players more and I think Michael Jordan and others are always there. If someone says Michael Jordan is the best, I can't argue with that. But I think the thing about LeBron, for me, is that he's been in the NBA for 21 years, he's still one of the best players in the NBA, it's very difficult to stay at that level for so long."
Although Calderon went on to praise Jordan, his thoughts on the debate are clear.
James and Calderon played together as members of the Cavaliers in 2018. Over 895 career NBA games, Calderon averaged 8.9 points, 5.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds while shooting over 40% from three-point range.
