The Los Angeles Clippers will enter the 2025-26 season with one of, if not the oldest roster in the NBA, and the franchise's front office decided to build on that trend after announcing their latest roster decision.

According to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the Clippers chose to waive a 20-year-old undrafted wing who showed a semblance of potential with their San Diego affiliate in the G-League.

"The Los Angeles Clippers are waiving two-way forward Trentyn Flowers, league sources told HoopsHype," Scotto shared via X on Tuesday evening.

"The 20-year-old athletic forward averaged 17.7 points on 48% shooting from the field and 39% shooting from 3-point range with 5.0 rebounds in the G League last season."

After authoring a dazzling regular season for the G-League's San Diego Clippers, Trentyn Flowers was officially waived prior to the beginning of what would have been his second NBA season.

In 27 regular season appearances and 21 starts in the G-League as a rookie (excluding the G-League's Tip-Off Tournament), Flowers averaged 20.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists on a fantastic 62.4% true shooting percentage.

Flowers announced his presence and displayed his methodical approach to scoring and play-making in his debut campaign with several signature performances, including a career-high 34-point night against the Valley Suns on Feb. 1.

While it may have been difficult for Flowers to carve out a spot in the Clippers' rotation at the NBA level this coming season due to their assortment of veteran talent, he certainly could have continued to make an impact at the G-League level in 2025-26.

Despite the rough news, it's plausible that Flowers can find another G-League gig in the near future.
