The Los Angeles Clippers have been taking things into high gear as of late. They have won seven of their last eight games, with their most recent win being a one-point victory against the Golden State Warriors, with the final score ending 103-102. Everyone has been stepping up, and the Clippers’ rookie delivers big time during their last game.

Kobe Sanders' breakout game

Kobe Sanders was drafted in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, being the 50th pick. Despite being a second-round player, he’s garnered the franchise’s attention with more playing time, averaging about 20 minutes per game. Sanders contributed during Ivica Zubac’s absence due to a Grade 2 left ankle sprain, helping the Clippers win six straight.

Against the Warriors, Sanders had a career night to cap off the Clippers' dub. He scored a career-high 20 points while shooting 9-16 from the field and 2-3 from the three-point line. He also grabbed 7 rebounds and made 3 assists while playing a career-high 36 minutes.

There’s plenty to like about Kobe Sanders' involvement within the Clippers’ lineup. After many speculations about the franchise’s roster being too old and not having enough depth to win games, Sanders has been beneficial and looks to keep up the momentum as the season continues.

The Clippers now have a record of 13-22, ranked 11th in the West, currently fighting for a play-in spot to keep their playoff hopes alive. They will go up against the third-seeded New York Knicks from the Eastern Conference on Wednesday, January 7th.
