The Indiana Pacers will be giving a bunch of guys a rest on Sunday.

They're taking on the Golden State Warriors, and Pascal Siakam is just one name on a very populated injury report.

The full list of absences:

  • Taelon Pater
  • Aaron Nesmith
  • Pascal Siakam
  • Johnny Furphy
  • Quenton Jackson
  • Bennedict Mathurin
  • Kam Jones
  • T.J. McConnell
  • Obi Toppin
  • Tyrese Haliburton

Why isn't Pascal Siakam playing tonight?

Pascal Siakam isn't injured.

But he's out on Sunday night against the Warriors anyway. The Pacers have listed his absence as "rest."

In a long season, it makes some sense to let Siakam get a breather. He's been asked to do so much this season without Tyrese Haliburton, and it doesn't do Indiana any good to wear Siakam down too much, especially as the Pacers struggle anyway.
