Anthony Edwards is one of the NBA's best young players. It won't be long until the basketball world starts to speculate if he wants to play somewhere other than Minnesota.
In fact, in some corners of social media, there are already rumblings that the Timberwolves' superstar may wind up in different pastures. Except there's more there than may initially meet the eye.
A viral post has suggested that Edwards is a target for the Houston Rockets to pair with Kevin Durant.
Except, well, there's no evidence this is true, despite nearly a million people having viewed this post:
The Houston Rockets are reportedly showing strong interest in acquiring Anthony Edwards, viewing him as a long-term franchise cornerstone. 👀

In concept, this could be true. The Rockets could want Edwards as their long-term franchise cornerstone.
But there has been no reporting on that from any of the NBA's national or beat reporters. This looks to be just a post created to get engagement.
Edwards' timeline wouldn't exactly line up with Durant's, anyway. Ant would surely love to play with KD after being his teammate in the Olympics. He looks up to Durant.
But the Rockets would have to surrender a crazy trade cost to truly get Edwards. Maybe it'd be worth it, but right now, it doesn't appear to actually be in the cards.
