The Golden State Warriors have a problem. Their roster is currently built on the “two-timeline” plan. They have a core of win-now veterans who are looking to have one last championship run, but also have a roster filled with some high-potential young players who aren’t quite ready to help the team win. That is why all Warriors rumors are centered around a potential Jonathan Kuminga trade.
Kuminga has been a controversial figure within the Warriors organization. He has shown glimpses of an incredible ceiling both offensively and defensively, but has also shown at times that he doesn’t have the maturity or basketball IQ to play alongside the Warriors’ veterans.
So, most Warriors trade rumors are saying that a Kuminga trade (via a sign-and-trade) is a very likely offseason move for Golden State.
That’s why this Warriors trade proposal from Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey is so intriguing.
This Warriors-Jonathan Kuminga trade could put the rest of the Warriors' trade rumors to rest.
Bailey proposes, “Nikola Vučević, Lonzo Ball and a top-5 protected 2026 first-round pick for Jonathan Kuminga (sign-and-trade)” as a potential Warriors trade that could solve a lot of their problems.
Firstly, this would give the Warriors a multi-time All-Star at the center position. Not only could Vučević be the ideal stretch five to pair with Draymond Green, but he gives the Warriors some much-needed size and rebounding.

Additionally, Lonzo Ball would be an ideal guard for the Warriors to add to their roster. Lonzo is known for being a solid defender and can hit threes at a decent clip. This is exactly what the Warriors need next to Stephen Curry.
Although we aren’t sure why the Bulls would attach a pick in this deal, that would just be an extra asset for the Warriors to use to make another win-now move.
So, although it is unclear from the current rumors whether a Warriors-Jonathan Kuminga trade is their desired path, this Warriors trade proposal is one the team should definitely consider.
