Stephen Curry is well-versed in the art of making history.
He overcame a number of early-career ankle injuries to become statistically the greatest 3-point shooter ever to play in the NBA. He ended the Golden State Warriors' 40-year championship drought and made Bay Area basketball fun again; he's added three more championships since that breakthrough victory in 2015.
Now 37, Curry has more than 1,000 regular-season games under his belt and a certain place in the Basketball Hall of Fame. But his career is in a strange place.
The Warriors sit eighth in the Western Conference with a 10-9 record and one of the NBA's oldest rosters. The future of Jonathan Kuminga, arguably Golden State's most valuable younger player, continues to dominate headlines around the team. The Dubs -- just 21st in offensive rating -- don't have the look of a championship contender.
Curry, though, continues to deliver.
Steph's sneaker shoutout to Sabrina Ionescu
Curry scored a game-high 31 points in only 29 minutes on Monday night, when the Warriors defeated the Utah Jazz, 134-117. It marked Curry's 30th career game scoring 30 or more points in under 30 minutes, the most in NBA history.
Curry achieved this milestone with a pair of Nike sneakers on his feet. It marked the first time since 2013 -- before his first championship -- that Curry has worn Nikes in an official game.
He chose New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu's Sabrina 3s and put the Jazz to bed while wearing them.

Curry is a sneaker free agent following his departure from longtime brand partner Under Armour. Curry was Under Armour's flagship athlete for a dozen years, from 2013 until earlier this month.
Twelve years after Nike let Curry get away due to a series of preventable errors, the two-time NBA MVP might be relishing a chance to show off his style -- while sparking talk of an improbable reunion with the American apparel giant.
