Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors got back on track on Monday night with a win over the Brooklyn Nets

The superstar guard got some rest after seeing the court for 41 minutes in an overtime loss against the Toronto Raptors on December 28.

Although Curry saw the court for just 28 minutes, he continued to put together a signature performance by dropping 27 points and five assists, while shooting 5-12 from deep. With a 25-plus-point, five-plus-assist showing in under 30 minutes, Curry made NBA history.

Curry previously tied with Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has 33 games with that criteria. Now, Curry is at the top of the leaderboard with 34 and a four-game lead over the league’s reigning MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

This season, Curry and the Warriors have struggled to find consistency. Earlier this month, they were searching for key answers after dropping three games in a row.

On December 20, Curry and the Warriors fired up a three-game winning streak with victories over the Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, and the Dallas Mavericks. They came up short against the Raptors, but bounced back with a 120-107 win over the Nets.

This year, Curry has appeared in 24 games. His numbers are up from last season, as he’s averaging 28.8 points, while shooting 46 percent from the field and knocking down 39 percent of his threes.

Along with his scoring, Curry has been coming down with four rebounds per game and dishing out 4.3 assists per game.

On Monday, the league revealed that Curry is on an All-Star pace for 2025-2026. With the first fan returns revealed, Curry collected over 1.03 million votes. He was third in the Western Conference, trailing only Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers.

After getting the night off on Tuesday, Curry and the Warriors will get an opportunity to keep the ball rolling on Wednesday with a 1 PM ET game against the Charlotte Hornets.
