Seth Curry is now with the Golden State Warriors.
Yes, the legendary Steph Curry's brother will be his teammate in the 2025-26 NBA season.
There was really just one problem with the free agent decision by Seth: They wear the same jersey number.
So what was going to give?
It seemed unlikely that Steph would change from his No. 30, but Seth tried.
“I tried to buy it from him," Seth told reporters. "He said he didn’t need the money. Don’t think the NBA would like it either.”
There's actually a chance the NBA would like it. There could be a whole new rush to buy the new Curry jerseys with a different number.
But conceptually, fans can still do that. They can buy Seth's jersey, and it'll be a Warriors jersey that says Curry on the back but has a different number.
Seth will wear the No. 31 alongside his bro's 30.
The Warriors won't really care a whole lot once the season gets rolling. Golden State will want the Curry brothers to turn into the new-yet-old Splash Brothers. If both bros start knocking down shots, the Warriors can still be dangerous even with an advanced-age bunch.
And there's also no telling how the brother synergy might help. It could keep Steph young. It could be just what the Warriors needed, even if the jerseys had to be shifted around to make it all happen.
