How far are the Golden State Warriors willing to go to appease Stephen Curry moving forward?

The answer is unclear, but Blue Man Hoop’s Nick San Miguel has a trade idea that the Dubs should consider executing this season.

In a hypothetical trade that would shock the NBA, the Warriors would reunite with a 6-foot-4 guard with a history with Draymond Green.

“Warriors could make the most shocking trade of the NBA season,” Miguel wrote Saturday. He filled in when Curry missed time with injury in the regular season and did phenomenally, carrying that success over into the postseason.”

“The Warriors simply would not have won the title that year had it not been for Poole's production along the way. Of course, we know things took a turn for the worst after that magical season. The following offseason saw the infamous Poole-Draymond Green incident which completely upset the team's chemistry.”

“It has been a rough year, so why would the Warriors even want to take a chance on him? Well, they need to do something to add another scorer to the offense and take some pressure of Curry. Maybe by bringing him back into the fold, they could rekindle that chemistry.”

Pairing Green with Poole less than five years after their infamous altercation would be a dangerous idea, to say the least. Sure, some may argue that now that Poole is more mature than he was at age 23, it’ll be less likely to witness him and Green bump heads moving forward.

In other words, because Poole doesn’t appear to be the cocky, unlikeable player he was following his first championship, there’s no reason to believe he’ll rub Green the wrong way again.

That said, it would be in the Warriors’ best interest to keep both parties separated to avoid any potential distractions. As talented as Poole, he may bring unwanted attention to a Warriors squad that must remain focused on keeping their title hopes alive.
