There’s nothing like a valuable free agent officially signing with a franchise he’ll undoubtedly flourish with.
On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors announced that Stephen Curry’s younger brother is now a member of the Dubs one day after agreeing to a deal with the Dubs.
“The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent guard Seth Curry to a contract,” the franchise stated in a news release. "Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.”
“Curry, 35, appeared in 68 games (14 starts) with the Charlotte Hornets last season, averaging 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per contest while hitting a league-best 45.6% from three-point range (83 of 182).”
For whatever reason, Curry doesn’t receive the appropriate recognition for his three-point shooting prowess. The Duke product is the definition of a high-level floor spacer, as he consistently ensures his footwork is in order before making a living treating open triples like target practice.
Despite being a knockdown long-range shooter his entire career, Curry has found it challenging to latch onto a franchise for more than two seasons.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native has competed with the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Hornets through 12 seasons.
Curry’s stint with the Warriors should be different, though, considering he’ll play alongside his older brother for the first time as a professional and have zero issues fitting in with an organization that’s always searching for perimeter shooting threats.
That said, the Stein Line’s Marc Stein recently reported that the Warriors will soon waive Curry and re-sign the proven sharpshooter during the regular season for financial reasons.
“The Warriors, I’m told, are expected to sign Seth Curry to an Exhibit 9 deal as noted below, so they can have him for all of training camp,” Stein wrote on X/Twitter Wednesday.
“He would then have to be waived and re-signed a month or so into the regular season when Golden State has the requisite apron flexibility.”
If one thing’s certain, Curry is still a lock to spend the 2025-26 season with the Dubs.
