The Golden State Warriors are in a bind. Their plan to pursue another championship with a core of Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green went up in smoke on Monday when Butler suffered a torn right ACL in a game against the Miami Heat.
With two weeks to go until the NBA's trade deadline, the Warriors are under even more pressure to land a difference-maker amid Butler's season-ending injury. And Golden State's search for a proper replacement could lead them back to a familiar face.
Clutch Points' Brett Siegel reported Thursday that the Warriors are eyeing the Heat's Andrew Wiggins in a trade that would likely require Golden State to send out Buddy Hield or Moses Moody as salary filler.
"A lot of members of (the Warriors) spent time talking with the former first overall pick while he was in town," Siegel wrote. "There is still a lot of mutual love (between Wiggins and the Warriors)."

Wiggins was a vital part to the Warriors' most recent championship win in 2022 and remained a solid contributor until he was traded for Butler last year.
Now, the Warriors may call on Wiggins again to replace Butler and keep their hopes of winning a fifth championship of the Curry-Green-Steve Kerr era alive.
