Warriors dissed Steph Curry in the rarest way

How often in a basketball game is Stephen Curry really, truly wide open?

The Golden State Warriors' superstar is the greatest shooter in the history of basketball. Opposing teams are generally glued to him as tight as can be.

But in a 15-second span on Monday night, Curry was wide open twice in 15 seconds. Both times, a Warriors player had a chance to pass him the ball. Both times, his teammate instead shot for themselves.

Golden State was up big on the Utah Jazz, so it didn't really matter. And there surely was no ill intent behind the lack of a pass.

But it's absolutely wild to watch when viewed in the context that there is no better play in basketball than to hit that guy wearing number 30 the ball in open space beyond the arc.

There's probably some interesting subconscious action at work here.

In a one-point game, the Warriors are probably more likely to ensure Curry gets the ball in these spots.

But with a 22-point lead, why not take a shot for yourself instead?

It likely would've felt a lot better if the shots taken instead of Curry went in, too.

But instead, there was Curry, all alone, watching a couple misses that could've been his makes.
