Training camp has yet to conclude for the Golden State Warriors, but the organization has already removed one asset from its roster.
On Wednesday, the Dubs cut ties with a 27-year-old Summer League Defensive star who was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers for two seasons.
“The Golden State Warriors have waived center Marques Bolden and guard Taevion Kinsey,” Landscape’s Marc J. Spears reported Wednesday.
Bolden was hoping to spend the 2025-26 campaign with the Warriors after failing to appear in an NBA contest last year.
Bolden joined the Warriors for the Summer League and didn’t disappoint on the defensive end of the floor, showcasing his ability to protect the rim at a high level.
The Duke product swatted 1.3 blocks per contest in Las Vegas and turned several heads in the process.

The Warriors elected to sign Bolden to their training camp roster on Sep. 29, allowing him to compete for a spot on the franchise’s opening night roster.
However, Bolden’s rim protection was below-average with the Dubs in the preseason, as the former McDonald’s All-American failed to record a block in two contests.
Bolden’s 4.5 points and two rebounds per game also weren’t captivating enough to help him remain with the seven-time NBA champions moving forward.
The Dallas, Texas native could latch on with a different franchise if he plays his cards right.
