The NBA isn’t the only professional league with a positive reputation.
The EuroLeague, although not at the NBA’s level in terms of talent, attracts attention due to its athletically pleasing/team-oriented play.
A 6-foot-5 Golden State Warriors point guard/restricted free agent clearly wanted to get in on the overseas action during the 2025-26 season, as he recently signed a deal with Dubai basketball.
“The final 2025 NBA restricted free agent is off the board: Taran Armstrong, a two-way RFA from the Warriors, has agreed to a deal with Dubai Basketball,” Front Office Show’s/Spotrac’s Keith Smith reported Wednesday.
“GSW will continue to hold Armstrong's RFA rights in the NBA this year, and for as long they keep issuing qualifying offers.”
Armstrong began his professional career in 2023 after playing two seasons with the California Baptist in the WAC (Western Athletic Conference).

The Burnie, Tasmania native signed with the Cains Taipans of the NBL (National Basketball League), spending 1.5 seasons with the overseas organization before inking a two-way deal with the Dubs this past February.
Although Armstrong didn’t appear in a single contest with the Warriors, he did make a noticeable impact with the organization’s G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors (he averaged 11.5 points, 7.8 assists, and 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game in 11 clashes, shooting 51.0% from the field and 36.4% from deep).
For now, Armstrong will compete with a Dubai squad off to a 1-1 start in the EuroLeague.
