Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were the dynamic Splash Brothers who instilled fear into the rest of the league.

The two backcourt studs were a nightmare to defend in the half-court and in transition, thanks to their near-perfect three-point shooting mechanics and high-level efficiency.

Curry and Thompson won four championships together in the Bay before Thompson left the Warriors for the Dallas Mavericks in 2024 via a sign-and-trade.

Is Curry open to the idea of Mike Dunleavy Jr. Bringing Thompson back to the Bay this season? On Thursday, the Davidson product sent Thompson a four-word message on the subject.

“It would be unbelievable," Curry told ESPN’s Anthony Slater and Tim MacMahon before describing why.

"If that time comes and that conversation is had, of course, I'm calling him and saying, 'We want you back.' And hopefully, that would be a welcome message to him. But as we stand right now, that does seem like a far-distant reality. But so did him leaving."

Thompson averaged 17.9 points on 43.2% field goal shooting and 38.7% three-point shooting during his final season with the Warriors, which is unquestionably valuable production.

However, Thompson’s 0-for-10 performance against the Sacramento Kings in the No. 9 vs. No. 10 Play-In game, combined with the Warriors' inability to earn a postseason spot, led to a massive roster change.

Thompson is moving in the wrong direction with the Mavericks. While the Washington State product has had his moments in Dallas, his inconsistent play from beyond the arc and flawed on-ball defense have plagued him thus far.

That said, a reunion with the Warriors could be just what Thompson needs to elevate his play to new heights.

Curry is in desperate need of assistance in the Bay, and Thompson's proven success alongside the future Hall of Fame point guard could lead to a successful partnership in the mid to late 2020s.

For now, individuals can only imagine a world in which Curry and Thompson are back on the same team.
