Despite a monster game from Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors suffered a 121-113 loss to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night -- and Curry himself was left worse for wear following the defeat in Orlando's Kia Center.

Curry scored a game-high 34 points and made seven 3-pointers in a game for the third time this season. The two-time MVP also dished out a season-high nine assists in 34 minutes. But Curry's heroics weren't enough as the Warriors dropped to 9-7 (4-7 on the road) with their superstar guard playing through injury.

Earlier this month, Curry missed three games due to illness, but he returned in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder before he delivered consecutive 40-plus point gems in back-to-back wins over the San Antonio Spurs. Golden State now faces an anxious wait to see if the 37-year-old will be good to go when the Warriors make the short trip to face the Miami Heat.

Curry revealed after Tuesday's loss that he tweaked his right ankle for the second time in three games. He told ESPN's Anthony Slater that the initial tweak occurred during the Warriors' 109-108 win over the Spurs on Friday, and the soreness reoccurred during the first half of the Magic game.

"We're just looking at how (the ankle) responds," Curry said. "I don't think it's anything crazy, but we'll see how it responds with the flight and how I feel tomorrow."

In his 17th NBA season, Curry is averaging 27.9 points per game. He leads the NBA in 3-point attempts and in 3-pointers made per game. He continues to have a significant impact on the Warriors' fortunes; Golden State has lost two of the three games that Curry has missed this season.

The Warriors will play the Heat (8-6) at Kaseya Center on Wednesday night, with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.
