During his rise to superstardom in the NBA, Anthony Edwards has built a reputation for never being scared to speak his mind. The All-Star guard recently went viral after making some choice remarks about one of his biggest competitors in the Western Conference.

Like countless others across the league, Edwards has popped up in Las Vegas to soak in some NBA Summer League action. While sitting courtside, he even decided to sign some autographs. One of the kids who approached him was donning a Jamal Murray jersey, and Edwards did not let the opportunity go to waste. When a nearby patron yelled at him for signing gear for an opposing fan, the Timberwolves star confidently stated that Denver is a team he thrives against.

The Timberwolves' social media team decided to have some fun with the encounter as well, posting the clip of Edwards online and tagging the Nuggets.

With both teams eager to be in the title hunt, the Nuggets and Timberwolves have had their fair share of fierce battles. The two famously squared off in the 2024 postseason during the Western Conference semifinals. Things would end up going seven games, with Minnesota eventually coming away victorious. Edwards was a driving force in eliminating the Nuggets, averaging 27.7 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 5.7 APG in the series.

After bolstering their depth in the offseason, the Nuggets are poised to contend in the West next season. Seeing that the Timberwolves were able to retain most of their core pieces, they remain a team Denver will have to get through to fulfill its championship aspirations.
