While there are several talented, multi-dimensional frontcourt stars with impressive resumes, Nikola Jokic is on a different stratosphere.
The 6-foot-11 Denver Nuggets standout center’s skill set is simply unfair, as completing jaw-dropping passes with his back to the basket, using his remarkable footwork to create advantageous scoring angles, and thriving as a perimeter scoring threat are all part of his arsenal.
After recording a double-double against the Phoenix Suns (26 points and 10 assists while connecting on every shot he attempted) on Saturday, Jokic made unique history, passing Wilt Chamberlain for the most games ever with 25 points and 10 assists on 100% field goal shooting.
Although the Nuggets fell to the Denver Nuggets on Monday, Jokic managed to make history again in a Nuggets uniform.
“Players with 15+ points, 9.0+ rebounds and 6.0+ assists in a quarter since 1996-97: Nikola Jokic (tonight in the 1st quarter), that’s the list,” ClutchPoints’ revealed on X/Twitter.
The sky will always be the limit for Jokic so long as injuries don’t derail his NBA career.
The former second-round pick has already won three MVPs, earned seven All-Star nods, been selected to five All-NBA first teams, and won an NBA championship with the Nuggets (he was the 2023 NBA Finals MVP), and the scary part is he’s just getting started.
There’s no question the 30-year-old has more greatness up his sleeve in the big leagues.
