The Denver Nuggets open their season against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.

After reconstructing their roster to better shape it for this season, this also means they had to part ways with some players.

One player who was a part of their 2023 championship team did not receive a contract after entering free agency this past offseason.

That would be 17-year NBA veteran, DeAndre Jordan.

Jordan joined the team in 2022 and was a serviceable backup to Nikola Jokić as he led the team to the championship.

Although he spent only three years with the team, this was his second-longest tenure with any team other than the Los Angeles Clippers

In 131 games over three seasons, Jordan averaged 4.2 points per game and 4.9 rebounds per game in 12.8 minutes.

Despite the decline late in his career, there is no denying that Jordan was once an amazing player.

During his days with the L.A. Clippers, he thrived in a system that allowed him to showcase his athleticism.

He spent 10 years with the team, making the All-Defensive first team twice, an All-NBA team three times, and earning one All-Star nod.

He averaged 9.4 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game during his time with the Clippers.

Jordan also holds the best career field goal percentage at 67.4% in NBA history, an impressive feat.

In between his time with the Clippers and Nuggets, he also played for the Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Jordan will remain in free agency, awaiting his next possible contract.
