Not many understand what it takes to play at the highest level like Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs. All Mahomes has done throughout his career is win, and he understands that if he doesn't, fans and the media will talk down about him.
He saw that after they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, and the last thing he wants is for that to happen again.
However, when Mahomes speaks about younger players, it's important that they listen. That could be said now about Cooper Flagg of the Dallas Mavericks.
Mahomes recently spoke about what Flagg can bring to the organization and had some big words for the former Duke star.
“So I'm like a very low-key Duke fan,” Mahomes said on "Up & Adams with Kay Adams." “I was growing up... JJ Redick, Sheldon Williams... but obviously I'm a Texas Tech fan now. So I watched Cooper Flagg last year. Great player, and I was extremely excited for him to come to the Mavs.
“Once they get healthy, they'll have as good of a chance as anybody of taking home the championship... I still love my guy Luka, no matter what. I'll be rooting for him no matter what, but my Mavs got a chance, man — we’ve got some hope again in Dallas.”

Mahomes is a Mavericks fan, so he’ll have the opportunity to watch Flagg courtside multiple times, as he's been seen attending games frequently.
Hopefully, Flagg will live up to the hype and continue to do what he's done throughout his young career. It won't be easy considering he's only 18 years old, but he has all the tools to be a great player one day.
