The Dallas Mavericks got rid of Nico Harrison on Tuesday.
It's been nine months since he traded away Luka Doncic, and that deal has aged as well as everyone expected.
In an admittedly small sample, the Lakers are 8-3, the Mavs are 3-8 and Anthony Davis has only played in 16 of the 46 possible games he could've for Dallas due to injury.
The Mavericks couldn't justify keeping Harrison around any longer.
There's a goofy postscript to this, though.
Harrison has a verified Instagram account with 11.8K followers. And he changed his bio on that website on the same day of his firing.
This is how his bio looks now:

That's not fake, either. AllSportsPeople has checked Harrison's IG bio as of 6:20 p.m. ET, and that's still what it says.
Harrison clearly is trying to embrace a bit of a sense of humor about this whole thing.
It's tough to imagine him getting another GM job anytime soon. But Harrison was well respected at Nike and likely won't be out of basketball for too long, if he doesn't want to be.
