The Dallas Mavericks traded away Luka Doncic just about a year ago.
What if they wanted to double down right now and trade away Cooper Flagg too?
It's probably an outlandish idea, but it's one floated by Yahoo Sports writer Morten Stig Jensen in a new article exploring trade possibilities for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
It would give the Mavs a potential veteran-laden Big Three, if everyone can stay healthy.

This is what the proposed package would be:
- Bucks get: Cooper Flagg, Daniel Gafford, Klay Thompson, Caleb Martin, Naji Marshall, and 2032 DAL first
- Mavericks get: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Gary Harris, and Taurean Prince
It's not a ton of assets going with Flagg, although Marshall's game has taken a major step up this season.
"The Bucks get the league's most intriguing under-20 prospect, along with a group of role players who could, potentially, be moved individually down the line," Stig Jensen writes.
The Mavericks would all of a sudden shorten their contention timeline considerably, again.
"Dallas, obviously, adds Antetokounmpo to a core of Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving, in the hopes of forming a ridiculously effective Big Three. It's expensive, but it'd create much-needed buzz in Dallas," Stig Jensen writes.

The article calls the quality of the Dallas trade package on offer an A-minus, but says the deal likelihood would only be a 2-out-of-5.
Given where the Mavericks are in the current standings, it probably makes much more sense to build around Flagg than to trade him away.
