There isn't too much to be written about Cooper Flagg. He has been that good.
The Dallas Mavericks got incredibly lucky to land the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery. They used it on the obvious choice, Flagg out of Duke.
And he has been as advertised.
Through Jan. 13, Flagg led all rookies in points.
He was second in assists and second in rebounds.
And he was third in steals and third in blocks.

Flagg's averages are:
- 19.1 points
- 6.4 rebounds
- 4.3 assists
- 1.3 steals
- 0.8 blocks
He has only gotten better as the season has gone along, too.
Flagg hasn't even been 19 years old for a month, either.
Clearly, his future is plenty bright. The Mavs are just lucky to have him.
