The Dallas Mavericks will always have an odd link between Luka Doncic and Cooper Flagg.
They traded Doncic away in the most shocking trade in NBA history. And mere months later, they won the draft lottery and the right to take Flagg No. 1 overall out of Duke.
If Doncic had stayed, lottery odds probably would've been different. They'd still have Luka, but not Flagg.
This isn't a judgment on which half of that is better. It's just the common thread.

And now, Flagg and Doncic have something else in common.
Flagg has put up four games in his career now with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists with one or fewer turnovers before turning 20 years old.
That ties Luka Doncic's NBA record in the category:

Flagg went for 20/8/6 on Tuesday night in a win over the Kings to tie this record.
And Flagg almost certainly isn't done with this. He only turned 19 in December. He's got a near-year to do this a bunch more times. And with the way he's playing right now, he almost certainly will.
