Did Anthony Davis gain weight? Explaining oft-injured Mavs star's appearance in fake viral post image

Anthony Davis is out injured. No one is surprised by that.

The Dallas Mavericks star forward has missed six consecutive games with a left calf strain. That included Monday night, when the Mavs lost 116-114 to the Bucks.

Mavs head coach Jason Kidd has yet to set a specific timetable for Davis' return, only saying that he has worked out on the court and is making progress.

Fans are talking about AD for a different reason, though.

An image is circulating on social media of Davis looking quite overweight.

Sure, being out for a couple weeks with a calf strain probably isn't great for fitness.

But Davis is still a world-class athlete, and the Mavs will hope to have him back on the court soon.
