New Dallas Mavericks draft pick Cooper Flagg is bound to have significant impact on the game of basketball, and he took a moment to name some of the women he believes have already done so through the WNBA.

Flagg was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of WNBA players, and here is who he listed: Former Los Angeles Sparks power forward Candace Parker, Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner, Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson, and - perhaps the most controversial pick of all - Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.

Parker, Griner, and Wilson are fairly commonplace selections. Between the three of them, they have five MVP awards, made 23 All-Star teams and 14 first team All-WNBA's, and have won six WNBA Championships. But Clark, on the other hand, is only in the middle of her second season. So, why did Flagg include her?

Here is what Flagg had to say about it: "I might put Caitlin Clark on there just because she’s changed the game so much and it’s heading in the right direction. And I just love what she’s been able to do."

In Flagg's eyes, Clark deserves recognition for the impact she has already had on the game of basketball, particularly with the WNBA. The historic ratings and attendance numbers for the league speak for themselves.

Though she does not yet have the same hardware as her counterparts on Flagg's list, her ability to bring unprecedented attention to women's basketball has been undeniable. Perhaps that is already enough to cement her as one of the all-time greats.
