The Cleveland Cavaliers crushed the Washington Wizards on Friday night.
Turns out, they won by just a bit less than originally thought.
The NBA announced Saturday, more than 12 hours after the game finished, that the score wasn't what everyone thought it was.
When the game ended, the scoreboard showed 148-114.
On Saturday, the NBA said it should've been 148-115.
Why?
The official scorers credited Wizards guard Tre Johnson with a missed free throw when he actually made it.
#Cavs final score from last night has been changed. Now 148-115. Washington’s Tre Johnson was originally credited with a missed free throw that was actually a made free throw. They have gone back and corrected it, changing the final score — and margin of Cleveland victory.

In most NBA games, scoring margin wouldn't matter, anyway. A win was a win.
But this was an NBA Cup game, part of the in-season tournament, and point differential is a tiebreaker at the end of the group stage.
The reality here is that the league got this right, and it's odd that it was wrong to begin with.
But it's definitely something you don't see every day, and there's a tiny chance the alteration here matters when teams are trying to advance to the knockout round.
