The Cleveland Cavaliers bounced back after a loss against the Jazz, defeating the Philadelphia 76ers by 26 points Wednesday night.

Donovan Mitchell led the way with a near triple-double, finishing the game with 35 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Evan Mobley also impressed on both sides of the ball, finishing with a double-double, 17 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.

Ball movement was key for Cleveland as the Cavaliers finished with 41 assists. This number is one shy of the 2025-26 season record of 42 set by both the Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks in blowouts against the Sacramento Kings.

That said, during the victory, Darius Garland suffered a right foot injury. Before leaving the game in the third quarter, Garland had 20 points, seven assists and three rebounds.

Following the game, head coach Kenny Atkinson addressed Garland's status saying: “I would probably say doubtful for next game."

However, he didn't elaborate on much beyond that. Cleveland has Thursday off before returning to action again Friday in Philadelphia. With no travel required between Wednesday and Friday's games, Garland will likely be re-evaluated by Cleveland's medical staff following Friday's game, ahead of their next matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday.

In the meantime, expect Lonzo Ball to see more minutes at the point guard position. Craig Porter Jr. And Donovan Mitchell may be asked to bring the ball up the floor more often as well.

As action continues, Cleveland will hope for the best regarding Garland. The Cavaliers currently sit seventh in the Eastern Conference.
